Piece of Technology

The technology it’s not very kind with me u,u, I fight often with my computer because I can’t understand why it has a bad function, or why it get stuck, I think that the computers came to complicate my life u,u, I hate them >.<, but I have to recognize that without them I wouldn’t have the most wonderful piece of technology in the history XD, and that’s the videogames.

The videogames, I think, are an alternative to the movies, even though they start only for simples entertainments or distractions; in the present time the videogames have to offer not only that but the possibility to move in an artificial world; there are many stories tell not only in the books but in the videogames, with an incredible quality of graphics, colors, textures; you can interact with other people too by the videogames, playing online, making armies, teams, tournaments, etc.; this versatility it’s possible thanks to a revolution technologic: the evolution from the two dimension graphics (2D) to the three dimension graphics (3D), making the videogames more realistic and credible; the videogames are not only a distraction with basics functions and goals or stages anymore, the videogames are now alternative of different artificial worlds when we can contextualize a story, a friendship, a tournament with friends in different parts of the world, etc.

Making videogames now isn’t a hobby of idle people, it’s a really design process that includes the creativity and imagination; and the videogames are not only the hobbies that were once, in the present Time they are a really piece of art, and an admirable piece of technology.

The pronunciation, from the bbc website

The bbc website have very interesting topics about how to learn english, an in my particular case i like the parte dedicate to the pronunciation symbols: i think it's very usefull for to we can practice the adecuate pronunciation, yi could learn tha in the inglish they use twenty six letters of the latin alphabet (the occidental) but the diferents sounds in english can be at least forty. I must asume that in this way the english it's more dificult that the spanish, even though i heard that the spanish it's one of the ,ost dificult lenguajes to learn and that i'm proud of it XD. In the spanish for example we only have the five vocals: a, e, i, o, u; but in the english that five sounds are not enought, thera are mixtures of vocal sounds, not to mentión the consonants, so the english coulb be more simply than the spanish in terms of conjugación and granal, but in pronunciation it's a diferent story, and that gives and own calue to the english.

So, i want to now more about these symbols for to practice and make better my pronunciation. And thats all i can say about the inglish and the bbc website have to ofer to learn it.

A place I went to

The parts that I visited are, in the north up to La Serena, and in the South down to Valdivia, without mention Bariloche in Argentina. From all the places that I've been, the beatuful one is Valdivia.

The last time I was in Valdivia was two years ago, we go there not frecuently with my family because of the distance; about ten hours driving; but when we have the oportunity we go there. My father, Anastacio Flández, is from Valdivia, so we have family there that makes us feel more linked to that part of the south of Chile.

Valdivia is a little city placed in the south with a diferent climatological condición tha the center of the contry like Santiago, where we live. A fascinating place with beautiful forests landscapes and woodlands, it's a very raining place and that combinated with the another things makes it magical, it's like to be into a fairy tale, with magical woods, with dwafs, goblins, elfs, etc. Many people think that the rain is linked to a depresive person, but a raining woodland has another condition, a place full of life, trees, plants of many colours that has a positive impact on the souls of the people.

Speaking of the city, Valdivia looks like from a fairy tale too, a city with reference in the european towns, the city and the landscape in fact look like we were in a town in Germany, and this last thing is interesting because much of the people of Valdivia are descendant of germanies inmigrants. Valdivia has a river that cross it, the Calle Calle river, up the river it has another name, the Cruces river where there is a wetland considerated a natural sanctuary with many kinds or birds, the more beautiful are the black neck sawns. It's curious that this "sanctuary" born from a catastrophy, when in 1960 the bigest earthquake registred and a tsunami later took place; when the water went back to the sea, it leaved this sanctuary that was cultivatelands before the tsunami. The beautiful wetlands is now threatened by the contamination throw down by the Celulosa Arauco inc. The citizens expressed against the company because that terrible incident. We hope that in this world of materialism they take concience of the damage that they make to our planet.

Valdivia it,s a wonderful place, that invite to the meditatión, the relax, the contection with the nature, a Natural Santuary, Let us save it for us and the future generations.

Introduction

Hello there.

Here i am in the english class the semester XD. Mi name is Rodrigo Ignacio Flández Andaur (When i introduce myself i like to give mi complete name in spanish like the royalty XD), i'm twenthy two years old and i'm studing architecture in "La Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Chile".

Whant can i tell you about me? Well, I like the videogames, of consoles (more than the pc videogames) Like Nintendo, Xbox o PlayStation; in the academical part, i begin to study architecture because i like the large palace, mansión, great buildings, but with emphasis in the classics and millenarie cultures, like the romans, the greeks, the eghyptian, the chinese, the indians, the inkas, the mayas, etc. the inspiration in theese topics is in the mithological world; i usually read a lot of cultures and ancient civilizations too.

The actuality topics are part of my interestes too, but no like the mitological an the ancients, my hobbies in that go from the ninetheenth century to the past. I like to draw about the same topic too.

Well the, that's all about me. I could tell that my engrlish it's not very bad, but it can be better, the best that i can do is read an write in english but i have a little more dificult in hearing an speaking in english, i pretend to get better in those last thing.
